Gerry Hoffmann is an award-winning copywriter. In addition to winning numerous Addy and Silver Microphone Awards, Gerry's work has repeatedly appeared in Adweek and he has written for Ad Age. He wrote virtually all of the promotional copy for Bronson Healthcare Group for more than a year, was the creative director for all of Gilmore Department Store's ads and commercials, wrote for the Irving Gilmore Festival, did promotions for the Kalamazoo Gazette as well as Business Review, and was the broadcast agency of record for V&A Bootery for several years. More recently, he has been doing national work, such as headlines, slogans, and copy for Harrah's seven casinos in Las Vegas, including Caesar’s Palace. Back to top
Beth Johnson brings nearly 20 years’ of public relations and communications experience to coCreatives. She is a former manager of Marketing Services at Bronson Healthcare Group, where she directed and implemented all advertising and marketing communications; established a non-profit publishing company, PrePress of Michigan, and with grants received from the Kalamazoo Arts Council, published two literary anthologies; is a published fiction author and has had more than 500 articles published in local and regional magazines/newspapers; is the owner of Writing and Marketing Services, serving clients in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio; and most recently held the position of technical writer/document specialist at Pfizer Inc. She has managed and been accountable for marketing budgets ranging from $5,000 to $1,000,000. Back to top
Judy M. Panse has 30 years of experience in media, marketing, and strategic concepts & planning. Judy is often consulted on "the pulse" of the consumer environment within this region, due to her extensive experience as a consumer/retail specialist.
She has a unique history of being one of only a few who have worked and specialized in the Kal/BC/GR ADI extensively. In the past a few Kalamazoo ad agencies have recommended their retail clientele contact her for her knowledge and expertise.
Her experience as a media director and agency principal within this consumer retail environment has been a value for national agencies also, looking for consultation on how to buy the market appropriately and effectively for their clients. She has served as a consultant for several national agencies and media buying firms, most recently Ogilvy Mather and Chappelle Ciafardini. Back to top
Jan Underhill is an award-winning designer who has had her own shop since 1980. She accrued a broad variety of agency creative and production experience during stints at Alexander Marketing, Grand Rapids, and at Traver & Associates (Copper), Keller/Moleski and Biggs-Gilmore Communications, Kalamazoo. Some of her more recent clients in the Kalamazoo area include ChemLink, Inc. Advanced Architectural Products, Home Builders Association of Kalamazoo, W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research, and Professional Development and Training Center of Southwest Michigan in the Kalamazoo Enterprise Center. Her range of consumer and retail experience includes jewelry, sporting goods and clothing, with services ranging from logos and print advertising to signage and a complete relocation campaign.
